When I was at the Our Lady of Lebanon National Shrine, I was struck by how quiet and peaceful things were there--except where Mama birds had their young. The chirping and cheeping and whistles were unnerving.
You can imagine my surprise when I followed the noises and found the Mamas going into a 600 Volt AC power mast box to tend to their babies!

You can see one Mama bird entering the top hole in the box and another one sitting on the wire just underneath her. A third Mama bird, partly hidden by the third set of wires, is sticking out of the bottom hole.
All I can say is "Holy Mother of God, protect these bird brains!"
