I can remember my first rock-n-roll concert like it was yesterday -- The Rolling Stones at Madison Square Garden in 1972. I saw them again in 1974 at the Garden, in 1997 at Ohio State University's Horseshoe Stadium and in 1999 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus OH. There's nothing like a rock-n-roll concert to get your blood pumping.
This page will showcase some of the rock concerts I've been to where I was able to take pictures.
I think it's only appropriate that the first concert I have pictures from is the 2000 Concert of Colors in Detroit with Bo Diddley as the headliner. Click here to see those pictures and commentary.
My first blues concert was the 1999 Delta Blues Festival, followed by the 2000 Dayton Blues Festival and the 2000 Delta Blues Festival.
In April 2002, I was able to attend a Columbus, Ohio concert by the Queen of the Blues, Koko Taylor. Take a look at the pictures and you'll see how she earned her title!
Six months later, in October 2002, I attended Koko's Dayton concert and met her while getting her autograph! Check out the photos from that concert!
