In 2003, I ran across some pictures on the Internet which show a few familiar scenes:

Scenes of Road Rallies Held On the Road Used When Driving to TUSLOG Detachment 150 :

(see pictures at bottom of the Bursa Racing Organization's Page)

Oto-Park

My Turkish is a little rusty, but I can sure recognize our road!

Sahintepe in 2004 after its abandonment by the US Military

Kaptanin Seyir Defteri

I figured out enough of the Turkish over this site's pages to learn the site was abandoned, the buildings demolished, but the power plant's fuel tank foundations were still there along with the concrete pads for the billboard antennae and the buildings.  I instantly recognized the steps from the lower part of the site to the radio and power plant buildings.  (If someone can perform a full translation of Kaptanin Defteri's site into English, please drop me a note .  I'd love to have it on hand.)
