Who's
Bluejeans?
I'm Pat Shediack from Dayton,
Ohio, who fights personal poverty every day as a Project Manager and
Program Manager in the information technology business, namely
project and program management. I'm a certified Project
Management Professional (PMP) and use this site to promote good PM
practices in my peers. I also post a lot of other fun stuff on
here related to toy trains, trains, blues music and road trips I've
taken with the Blues Babe!
On November 12, 2005, I married
Sylvia, aka "the Blues Babe".
I have two kids (Patrick Jr. who's 30 and Christine Marie who's
28). I'm even a grandfather--seven times over when you count
my grandkids and Sylvia's!
I served in the US Air Force
for 20 years, 2 months and 15 days, retiring in June 1996 as a chief
master sergeant after helping to "spank the Russian bear and send
him home".

While putting my GI Bill
benefits to good use, I graduated from the Community College of the
Air Force with an Associates Degree in Applied Aerospace Studies
specializing in Information Management; from Southern Illinois
University at Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Vocational
Education Studies (Workforce Education and Development) and from the
University of Management and Technology with a Master of Science in
Management-Project Management. (God bless FDR; God bless
the GI Bill; God bless the Air Force!)
Since
leaving the Air Force, I've worked at consulting firms, a health
care company, an application service provider and a "dot-com".
(Yes, I've been there, done that and have the "dot-com" shirt in my
closet to prove it!)
Oh, where did
the nickname "Bluejeans" come from? In February 1974, my high
school class held a "ring dance" according to school tradition to
hand out the class rings. When I stopped by my best friend's
house on the way to the dance, his mom said to me, "Gee, Bluejeans,
I almost didn't know you all dressed up in a jacket and
slacks". The name stuck like glue! (Don't laugh, but my license plate reads "BLUJNS",
too!)
Say hi -- there's an e-mail button on the left
side of this page!

Who's
Blues Babe?
I'm Sylvia Shediack, the other
half of this partnership! Taking care of Pat is a full-time
job for anyone, so in my spare time I'm the "Charge of Quarters" for
the real Bluejeans Place in Dayton! (Pat says all the veterans
will know what a Charge of Quarters is; I'll just take his word for
it!)
My son Keith is a Navy officer who's
married to a young lady named Christina down in Chesapeake,
VA. My daughter, Christina, lives near us in the Dayton
area. My grandkids, belonging to Keith and Christina, are
Hayden and Peyton.
I like making crafts and taking
photographs.
I graduated from Edison State
Community College with an Associate of Arts in Technical
Communications. I also hold a certificate in technical
writing.
In the past, I was a certified ISO
9000 internal auditor at an auto parts plant and ran my own
embroidery shop business.
You can probably figure out which wise
guy came up with the "Blues Babe" nickname!

Who's
Mick?
I'm Mick the
Dalmatian, the "Chief of Security" at Bluejeans Place. See how
well I guard the fire hydrant? Just imagine how well I guard
the house and this web site!
I'm a 2007 graduate of Pawsitive Pet
Solutions Canine Good Citizen training.
I don't have a cool nickname yet like
Mom and Dad have with Blues Babe and Bluejeans. Maybe Dad will
think one up soon for me. Mom likes "McMoose", but I
don't because it isn't a cool sounding name!
In my spare time, I like chasing the
ball for Mom and Dad, performing tricks for treats (I do a mean
"High Five") and listening to Dad's blues music in his blues bar and
train room, especially Howlin' Wolf, when it's thundering and
raining outside. I also like watching the toy trains running
on Dad's train layout, playing in the snow and barking at the birds
on the bird feeders!
I'm going to embarrass Bluejeans and
Blues Babe -- Mom and Dad--now. They rescued me from
a bad situation in 2006 where I was abandoned and running loose in
some county, caught by a dog warden, got very sick and ended up
recuperating in a kennel hosted by Second Chances Dalmatian
Rescue.
If you read the Dalmatian Rescue page on here, you'll see what bad shape I was in
before I hired on at Bluejeans Place.
I hope you like it here at Bluejeans
Place; I love it!
